Hybrid Saunas

When selecting a sauna for your home, you will be faced with the decision to choose between an infrared sauna or a traditional sauna. Sometimes that can be a difficult decision! Instead, how about combining the two and calling it a hybrid sauna? Hybrid saunas include both infrared heating panels and a traditional stove heater.

  • Note: while hybrid saunas do include both types of heating technology, the sauna control system does not allow for both heating systems to run simultaneously.

Hybrid Sauna

Combines the best of traditional and infrared heating in one unit. It allows you to enjoy high-heat, steam-enhanced traditional sauna sessions or switch to gentle, penetrating infrared heat—giving you complete control over your comfort, relaxation, and wellness experience in a single, versatile sauna.

Red Light Therapy

This sauna features integrated Red Light Therapy designed to support overall wellness. Research suggests that red and near-infrared light may offer a range of supportive benefits for the body when used as part of a healthy lifestyle. Red light wavelengths, typically in the 620–660 nm range, are able to gently penetrate the skin and underlying tissue when positioned close to the body.

This light energy is absorbed at the cellular level, where it may help encourage natural processes related to circulation and oxygen delivery. Many users incorporate red light therapy into their routines to support muscle recovery, joint comfort, healthy blood flow, and the body’s natural repair processes. As an emerging wellness technology, red light therapy is widely used for relaxation, recovery, and overall vitality.

What Are Infrared Rays?

Infrared light is the spectrum of light that we experience as heat. Although it is invisible to the naked eye, we can feel its warmth. The sun emits the majority of its energy in the infrared range. Infrared rays can warm your body directly without needing to heat the surrounding air, a process known as conversion.

Infrared is categorized into three segments based on their wavelengths measured in microns: Near Infrared (0.76-1.5 microns), Middle Infrared (1.5-5.6 microns), and Far Infrared (5.6-1000 microns). Of these, Far Infrared has the ability to penetrate organic materials, including the human body, by two to three inches, creating a consistent and uniform warming effect.

How Infrared Saunas Work

Infrared Saunas differ from traditional saunas in that they use infrared radiant energy to directly penetrate into the body's tissue to produce perspiration. Traditional saunas use steam to heat the air inside the sauna, which then heats your body until you begin to perspire. In order for this to be effective, temperatures would need to reach in the upwards of 190 degrees Fahrenheit. Infrared saunas only need a temperature of up to 120 degrees Fahrenheit to obtain the same effect. This lower temperature makes the environment more tolerable and allows you to breathe easier.

The Traditional Sauna Difference

More than warmth, a traditional sauna surrounds you with intense heat and soothing steam. Users can pour water on heated rocks to create steam, increasing humidity. The combination of hot stones, natural wood, and high temperatures creates a deeply immersive experience that promotes relaxation, recovery, and renewal—just as it has for generations.

  • Optional steam for deeper heat penetration
  • Encourages deep sweating and detoxification
  • Helps relax muscles and ease joint tension
  • Creates a calming, spa-like environment
  • A time-tested wellness ritual practiced for centuries
